Hi, my name is Louise Letson and you will quickly realise that I am passionate about helping you achieve your individual health, fitness and wellbeing goals.   Your health and wellbeing is my concern.  

My individual fitness profile includes:

16 years in the Fitness and Health and Gymnasium Industry.   In that time I have trained and am fully qualified in the following disciplines:

  • Aqua
  • Kickboxing
  • Fitball
  • Chiball
  • Power bar
  • Circuit
  • Aerobics
  • Pilates
  • C.O.T.A. (Counsel Of The Ageing)

  • ‘Changing Shape’ – Royal Women’s Hospital healthy lifestyle, nutrition and fitness program
  • Keeping kids active programs

I am also currently employed by the following organizations:

  • Gippsland Sports Academy (regional arm of The Victorian Institute of Sport) as:
  • Strength and condition coach
  • Nutritional advisor

to a variety of the Academy’s sporting disciplines.                                             

  • Victorian Government – Active After Schools programs.

I also volunteer my expertise to Gippsland Power as a strength and conditioning coach and am the holder of a Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do.

Being fit and healthy is more than just about body shape, or weight. Being fit and healthy is a necessity for quality of life as we age. To do this we need to be active and make sensible food choices. Exercise and activity need to be a part of our everyday routine just like brushing your teeth.

Developing an exercise routine can be difficult on your own (even when you join a gym you are still on your own), that’s where Smart Trainers can help.

When I was managing the fitness program for Latrobe Leisure, I realised that the expectations that people had with regard to fitness and health, and the service provided by fitness clubs (in general) do not meet people’s needs.

That’s why I set about developing an ‘a la carte’ fitness program for my clients.

My goals are to:

  • Re-educate individuals with regard to what is required for their personal health and fitness.
  • To provide progressive achievable goals, and the sense of working together to achieve those goals.
  • To provide more flexibility with regard to when, who and what type of workout you want.
  • To provide excellent service that exceeds client’s needs and expectations.
  • To provide a purpose built facility that creates a great training or workout environment.
  • To empower people with the life skills they need to stay fit and healthy.
  • To build sustainable programs that can benefit the whole community.
